Celebrate Easter while bashing out some funky Carnival grooves… Bring in the spring in style with our Carnival rhythms masterclass.

As part of our Percussion and Songs of the Orishas residential course, Global Grooves has teamed up with La Timbala to bring you a celebration of Brazilian and Cuban Carnival grooves.
This short course will explore how traditional ritual phrasing and styles have influenced carnival rhythms today and we will put together two unique grooves using Surdo, Timbau, Caixa, Bells, and Repinique.
The course is suitable for beginner to advanced percussionists and is also open to those who are not attending the full Easter residential. All instruments will be provided.

The master-class will run 8pm – 10pm on Sunday 27th March and continue on Monday 28th March (bank holiday) 10am – 5pm.

Course fees: £55

Accommodation at the workshop venue can be provided at an additional fee of £25.
