Global Grooves - Introducing No Eyed Theatre - News - Articles

Sunday 26th February 2012

We are delighted to announce that No Eyed Theatre will be a Lead Artistic Partner on our Junk Jam project. We will team up with Ryan and Chris to develop some amazing masks that will feature heavily in parade. Made from entirely recycled materials these masks are set to make a huge impact in the streets of Manchester.

Ryan Said: “As Artists, we enjoy seeing the work we create being put to great use on large scale productions in front of a vast crowd, along with developing our own artistic style and skills with professional organisations. After being a part of the Manchester Day Parade 2011, we got a flavour of what it's like to be part of such an amazing event. We are extremely excited to be taking part again this year on a larger scaled section of the parade working along side Global Grooves”.

Chris added “This year we have been given the task of designing the look of the masks along with other lead artists from Global Grooves. We will also be making by hand all the masks required with the help of those in the Global Grooves community to create a visually stunning section”.

We can’t wait to start work with Ryan and Chris on this project and are looking forward to developing our partnership in the coming years.
