Creative Wellbeing is a 12-week, term-time only course which aims to introduce participants to a range of visual arts skills and techniques and seasonal crafts to enhance wellbeing and develop skills.
Due to ongoing restriction measures, this course will be delivered online, with the lead artist facilitating the session every Tuesday morning of the course at 10am. Participants will need to have reliable internet access and be able to use Zoom to join the course, but you can join on any device (mobile, tablet, desktop, laptop) as long as Zoom is supported.
Funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), techniques and topics planned for the course include lantern making, visual Carnival arts, clay, batik, wreath making, foil crafts and Hallowe’en crafts, all delivered by Global Grooves’ resident artists.
Materials for the course will be supplied by our artists in advance, either posted or delivered to you, and all will be prepared in a COVID-compliant manner, so you’ll have peace of mind.
Each session takes place on Zoom on Tuesday mornings at 10am. The course will not run on 26 October due to half term, or 29 December or 5 January due to Christmas holidays. The final session of the course will take place on Tuesday 19 January 2021.
Due to the terms of this funding programme, participants must live in Greater Manchester, be aged 18 or over and must currently be unemployed.
There are only ten places on the programme, so if you fit these criteria and would like to register your interest, please get in touch by emailing Sophie via [email protected]
If you do not wholly fit these criteria – for example, you are self employed or you are furloughed from your regular employment – and you are interested, please do still get in touch. We will hold your name on a waiting list in case a place becomes available, though we will have to prioritise those that fully fit these criteria.
We look forward to crafting with you!
