Creating Carnival 2014 goes global!

Posted on: 14th April 2014

After two fantastic weekends in Preston (UK) for the first ever Creating Carnival conferences we’re happy to announce it’s gone global!

Global Grooves Team: Leon Patel, Eraldo de Sa Marques, Adriana Rosso and Genevieve Estevez-Baker are taking Creating Carnival global with stops off in Singapore and New Zealand to deliver their expertise in Afro-Brazilian percussion and dance.

They have already completed their Singapore leg and will be making their way to New Zealand to deliver more fantastic workshops and talks. To keep up to date with us, please join us over on our Facebook page here.

Creating Carnival UK were themed weekends providing a sneak peek behind the scenes of carnival and the journey from performance to production. The hands-on weekends in Preston provided a platform for artists, participants and producers to engage in conversation to develop and promote this wonderful, ever-evolving art form. Creating Carnival is designed be a fascinating insight into the backstage aspect of the art form, and is also a forum to share ideas and explore the future of carnival in the UK…and now in Singapore and New Zealand.
