Posted on: 25th September 2018

Join us at the 13th annual Manchester Dashehra Diwali Mela!

Global Grooves’ artist and lantern extraordinaire, Gordon Banks, will be leading family lantern workshops in preparation for the Diwali Mela.

You’re invited to join us for FREE Lantern Making workshops at Manchester Central Library and to take part in a magical lantern parade at the Diwali celebrations.

The workshops are free but bookings must be made in advance via Manchester Central Library. Follow the ticket link to book your place today. Please only book places at the workshops if you can take part in the lantern parade on 20th October.

Workshops are open from 11am – 1.30pm and 2.00pm – 4.00pm on the 13th and 20th October.

The parade starts from outside the Central Library at 7pm on 20th October and leads to the main area for the spectacular final performance and firework display in Albert Square.
We’re asking all Lantern parade participants to meet in the foyer of the Library at 6pm to get ready to parade.

Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of this spectacular evening, head to the LibraryLive.co.uk to book your place today!
