2015/16 cohort and Steering Group member

Rachel participated in Future Leaders in 2015/16. On completing the course Rachel landed a job with the Royal Opera House Bridge, where she still works today. Rachel’s specialism is dance, starting aged two and a half, it has taken her on an educational path from GCSE to a BA Hons in Dance Studies and onto a successful career. Rachel’s working portfolio includes, Youth Dance England/One Dance UK, Dance Challenge, Dance Umbrella, MOVE It & Perform and Dance: Make Your Move (The British Red Cross) working largely with Children and Young People and within Event Management. Rachel enjoys performing and openly shares her skills and talents. Her performance highlights include London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony, The O2 Area London and Disneyland Paris.

As well as Global Grooves, East London Dance has also recognised Rachel as a Future Leader. In 2016, following the Global Grooves Future Leaders Programme, Rachel completed the Emerging Leaders Course with The Clore. Rachel is passionate about Equality and Diversity within the Arts and in her spare time Rachel is a member of  Arts Network, and has previously acted as the Treasurer. So passionate is Rachel about the Global Grooves Future Leaders Programme she now sits on the steering group. Rachel latest role is as a mother to her son born in 2020.
