We're Recruiting Trustees for Friends of The Vale

ROLE PURPOSE

Global Grooves’ home, The Vale are looking to recruit new Trustees to the Board. The trustees will provide strategic insight and increase the knowledge and experience represented by the board. We are seeking a team of people who will shape, develop and advocate for the future of the venue.

WHO WE ARE

The Vale is an arts centre in a former textile mill in Mossley, Tameside. Its artistic focus is Carnival as the venue is managed and led by Carnival arts organisation and social enterprise Global Grooves. Friends of The Vale is a charity (no. 1190598) with a range of activities for all ages and supports creative development and high quality arts for everyone.

Renovated in 2021, the space boasts a 90-seat cinema, a stage hosting national and international artists, three art studios, a community garden, and much more. Having undergone its renovation, The Vale is at an exciting point in its development with the potential to grow its own strategic plan and objectives to thrive as an inclusive, sustainable, high quality arts venue.
