Suitable for musicians and drummers aged Key Stage 3 and above, the polyrhythmic multi-instrumental music of Cuba will inspire and ignite the interest of any keen music student. Cuban street percussive music is more challenging to the ear, and so tends to work best in smaller groups of 5-15 students, enabling easier access to the more complex musical and rhythmical connections between instruments. We recommend that students that participate in this workshop have a basic level of drumming or musical experience.
