Often, festivals will commission us to create new performances and puppets responding to a particular theme. Many festivals will book our existing performances and puppets, too, having heard about our successes at neighbouring or competing festivals. And the best thing about Global Grooves is our ability to diversify and mobilise: if required, we can bring along puppeteers, face-painters, flag-bearers, workshop leaders and talk-givers, dancers and musicians, artists and… well, you get the picture.
In January 2018, Global Grooves took a team of 40 artists of all levels of experience to the Gambia on an international study experience.
