GLOBAL GROOVES IS PROUD TO PRESENT AS PART OF THE BRIGHTER SOUND CREATIVE LEARNING PROGRAMME AT BAND ON THE WALL….

Here is the groove-formation! Explore the role of the percussionist in hip-hop, dance and pop styles. A new course for players of all levels. Fun, friendly and informative! Use congas with a selection of other percussion instruments and learn their importance and place in today’s chart music. Learn new skills and techniques from two of the UK’s finest players. Create percussive beats and grooves in small group settings and fit them into a full band ‘groove’ with expert coaching from Lea and Chris.

This is an open level course suitable for players of any level from beginner to advanced and highly recommended for all would-be percussionists and drummers. Some experience of hand drumming would be beneficial. Great for those who want to play in bands and collaborate with other musicians on jam nights, performances or in a recording setting.
Bring your own congas if you have them however we can provide congas to use in sessions on request. Other percussion will be provided.

Day: Wednesdays
Dates: January 15th, 22nd, 29th. February 5th, 12th, 26th, March 5th, 12th.
Times: 7.00-9.00pm
Course Fees: Full: £65 Conc: £50
