Ever wanted to be a giant bird, fire breathing bat or illuminated robot?

Posted on: 8th January 2019

Join our address book of puppeteers and bring our giant puppets to life at festivals and events throughout 2019 and beyond!

We’re looking for people with puppeteering, performance, or acting experience, but will consider applications from anyone who feels that they could perform with us; our puppets just need your energy and character!

Please note – the role is quite physical, as some of the puppets are heavy and require a reasonable amount of core strength. You’d need to be comfortable in performing for 30min – 1 hour at a time in a parade or at other public events.

All performances are paid £100 – £200 per day depending on experience, skills and physical activity. Some unpaid rehearsals may be necessary for new team members or as new pieces are created.

Previous performances have included Blue Dot, Kendal Calling, CarFest, and The Manchester Mega Mela.

We’re initially looking to recruit and train puppeteers to join us at the ‘Illuminate‘ event in Oldham on Friday 22nd February 2019 (evening gig). However please do get in touch even if you cannot make this date as we have plenty of gigs throughout the year in which we need puppeteers for.

**The deadline to apply for these rolls has now passed. Thanks to everyone who got in touch with us. Keep an eye on our social media channels and website for any future puppeteering opportunities. **
