Rehearsal and Performance

Perhaps you’re looking for a unique venue for R&D, or you need space with the height and width to rehearse with a large scale set. Whether you’re a dance company looking for a rehearsal venue, a theatre company looking to bring a new production alive or a musician looking to make noise, we would be delighted to host you and your company at The Vale. Celebrate with us

A family friendly venue from intimate to grand celebrations . We can host birthday parties, hen dos, Christening parties or even a fundraising gig or dinner. Consider holding your celebration at The Vale and you’ll have a shindig to remember. And don’t forget: we have a whole host of additions to make your events that extra bit special. Maybe one of our resident puppets  could make a surprise appearance, our dancers could lead your guests in a special dance class, choreographed just for you. If you’ve got some creative ideas, send them our way and we’ll put our party hat laden heads together!

Regular Events

We have a host of local groups who call The Vale home, if you’re looking for regular bookings you could consider a membership to get a reduced price community rate on your regular bookings.

Cinema

You may have noticed that The Vale has a state of the art projector ready to go… and you can hire it, too! Gather your closest friends for a birthday film screening, invite your business colleagues to a launch of your next big advert, bring together community groups for a night of inspiring cinematic action. Whatever your reason, get in touch and we can make it happen. And yes, we do have a popcorn machine!

Weddings

Celebrate your wedding or civil partnership with a night to remember in our Theatre. Our fully licensed bar, unique venue and friendly team will ensure you make lifelong memories with your guests.

Our typical wedding reception is from 4pm-11.30pm, with 4 hours set-up the day before and 2 hours set-down time the day after.

Enjoy the fully stocked bar, we stock our brilliant neighbours, Millstone Brewery’s beers, and can even order any speciality drinks you want to add the icing on the cake to your day.

Conferences and Coporate Events

Taking the team out of the office and into our Carnival Centre is bound to work wonders for creativity, productivity and team building. You can hire any of our spaces to run your own corporate events or, if you’d like a little assistance, we can bring our artists on board for drumming workshops, guided walks, puppetry classes, that will keep your staff talking for years to come. Don’t forget our cinema, too!

Filmiing and Photoshoots

Need a backdrop for a product launch? Want to film interviews for a documentary? Need props and a studio for your band’s next album? Look no further. We love seeing our venue on the silver screen and could be just the location for your next film or photo shoot.

Venue

The Venue sees world famous musicians walk its stage, independent & blockbuster films on its screen, and now it’s available for you to hire. Whether it’s a community film screening or a yoga class, this versatile space is here to be.

Studio One

This bright and airy Studio is our most versatile space. It boasts a large kitchenette with access to fridge-freezer, toaster, oven, hob, induction hob and a kettle, with a space for breakouts or one to ones within the studio.

Studio Two

Ideal for woodwork, metal work and getting messy with all manner of materials. It offers a large space, 72ms sq for all kinds of creativity, it has storage for makers’ equipment, good natural light, a large extractor to keep the air ventilated, opening windows, and a host of machinery and tools.

Studio Three

A large light space with a ceiling to floor partition curtain makes Studio 3 highly adaptable to offer privacy for dance or sensitive workshops, or transform the space into a performance, rehearsal or photography studio. Our large carnival puppets also call this space home, so it’s alive with creativity, bringing some carnival flair to your event backdrop.

Sewing Room

This studio has been specially designed as the heartbeat of our Carnival Centre of Excellence and has everything needed for textiles based projects both large and small. With it’s floor to ceiling window its also a fabulous, creative and somewhat unusual space for meetings and project planning.
