The performance took South Indian performance styles as its inspiration, but eager to involve people from all walks of life, we worked to find the common links between the South Asian and Trinidadian, West African, and Brazilian Carnival styles.
The performance took South Indian performance styles as its inspiration, but eager to involve people from all walks of life, we worked to find the common links between the South Asian and Trinidadian, West African, and Brazilian Carnival styles.
Working with four different music groups and two different dance groups, we had dancers, drummers and brass performers, plus a giant elephant puppet alongside a number of smaller horse puppets, forming our enormous, spectacular parade.
We were also delighted to unleash many of our Future Leaders on the project, too, making costumes and managing the event.
And you can hire Desi Carnival for your event.
