Jon’s contributions have been instrumental in advancing Global Grooves’ environmental sustainability goals, particularly at The Vale. He has developed power monitoring systems, analytics tools, and software solutions that reduce environmental impact while optimising creative spaces.
As the designer of bespoke lighting and portable parading technologies, Jon has enhanced Carnival arts productions locally and internationally. His innovations include advanced lighting solutions for large-scale, site-specific works and internationally touring productions. He also inspires the next generation by teaching coding and technology workshops for young people and guest tutoring for the Future Leaders programme, encouraging exploration of the intersection between technology and the arts.
A musician at heart, Jon’s skills as multi-instrumentalist and performer continue to enrich Global Grooves’ outdoor shows. His understanding of live performance shapes his technical innovations, ensuring they elevate the vibrancy and authenticity of the organisation’s projects. He has dedicated his time as part of our house band to ensure the success and growth of the Sunday Sessions programme, our monthly community music experience for adults and young children to experience accessible live music activities together.
Beyond Global Grooves, Jon is the founder of Mambo Amps, designing world-class guitar amplifiers that reflect his creativity and craftsmanship.
