I’m Lara, and I’m a dancer on the 2021-22 cohort!
One thing I love about dance is the ability to learn and do styles that can be completely different from what you are used to. You can enjoy styles that you would not necessarily do on a daily basis and understand that there are different styles of dance and that although one style is unappealing there will always be another style that you can enjoy.
I do a lot of different styles of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Tap and plan on progressing in them a lot further having already reaching my Grade 6 exam in Ballet. I’ve been in multiple shows, showing the different styles and progression in ability from the younger grades/ dancers to the older ones. I’ve been in school productions dancing and acting the different roles set out in the musicals. I love helping the younger dancers in my dance school to progress in the dancing of Ballet and Tap, and therefore on a weekly basis help my dance teacher to teach them for a morning/ afternoon.
I do some other creative topics including art and enjoy drawing and painting as well as some different things like sewing and creating different styles of clothes that can be worn.
