Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant
Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant will take place on Sunday 5th June 2022. It tells the story of The Queen’s 70-year reign and our transforming society. The Pageant is played out in three parts: Ceremonial, Celebration, and Finale.
Act I: The Ceremonial features contingents of marching bands, serving troops, and people across the UK, and the Commonwealth too, marching along The Mall and through some of London’s most iconic streets, with all the military precision and ceremony for which we as a nation are rightly famous.
ACT II: The Celebration is a sensory explosion of exciting and extraordinary theatre, dance, music, carnival and street arts creativity.
The Pageant harnesses creativity, ingenuity, humour and community spirit. It mashes street theatre, music-on-the-move, urban dance, and the very best of Carnival, May Day, Mela, Fiesta and Mardi Gras. It draws on our traditions and unites us all in celebration of this historic occasion.
Act III: The Finale of the grand celebrations of the Pageant will be revealed next year.
