IN ASSOCIATION WITH BAND ON THE WALL.

We would like to invite you to be at the birth of a new and unique drumming ensemble in Manchester…DRUM MACHINE!

Drum Machine are a 35 piece drumming collective. Based in Hebden Bridge their vision is the creation of one big ‘drum machine’ made up of a network of bands from across the UK and abroad , that will enable large scale performance, creative collaboration and the development of large scale events. Their ultimate goal is to build a creative community with a common language, promote the arts and support the development of its members. Drum Machine recognises and embraces the individual skills of participants and energies of it’s members.

Drum Machine are coming to the Band on the Wall to launch a Manchester branch with a 2 day celebration of their unique industrial sound.

Learn to play Drum Machine’s urban rhythms and contempory dance floor grooves on traditional samba reggae instruments with founder Aid Todd.

The course will provide an intensive drumming experience and learning opportunity for all abilities. Over the weekend you will be introduced to all aspects of Drum Machine rhythms : from complex snare patterns to rolling bass parts and from punchy, bubbling kutador lines to dancing and powerful repenique patterns.

The weekend will focus on two main grooves, exploring all the break downs and builds that accompany them along with several different arrangement possibilities.

Members of Drum Machine will be on hand to talk possibilities and opportunities for the future of Drum Machine Manchester.
