What a fantastic year we have had so far! We have some very exciting things coming up to finish off the year as well as some updates about our 2015 work. We would like to say a big thank you to all of our participants, funders, volunteers, staff and everyone that has made 2014 a great year…but it’s not over yet!

After two fantastic weekends in Preston (UK) for the first ever Creating Carnival conferences, we’re happy to announce it’s gone global!

We are delighted to announce that No Eyed Theatre will be a Lead Artistic Partner on our Junk Jam project.

The Hug Project will help identify, source and deliver recyclable waste materials for Junk Jam.

Arts Council England has awarded Global Grooves over £35,000 for the development of our ‘Junk Jam’ programme.

We are proud to announce that Mambo Amp will be the official sponsor of the Junk Jam project and supply Junk Jam with four new portable amplifiers – the very best currently available on the market.

Global Grooves is delighted to announce that Cabasa Carnival Arts will become the lead creative partner of the Junk Jam project! Global Grooves and CCA will work closely together on the design and carnival development area of the project.

Manchester voluntary group Cabasa Carnival Arts has been awarded £9,975 today to organise a carnival using ‘Junk’ and recycled materials to make instruments, costumes, and props for a community celebration.
