This mini masterclass will help you to develop techniques for the national instrument of Brazil in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. This class is a perfect chance to try something new as a complete beginner (Saturday classes) or for more experienced/intermediate players to develop their playing (Sunday class). We will focus on several musical styles, with opportunities for individual feedback about ways to continue your practice at home.

As the lockdown has shown, we live in an increasingly digital world. Getting to grips with apps and software, social media, coding and graphics has never been more essential. This 12-week course, facilitated over Zoom, is completely free and designed for you to brush up on your digital skills.

A DAY OF PERCUSSION, SONG AND DANCE FOR YEMANJÁ

Join Adriana Rosso and Leon Patel to explore the beautiful movements, songs and rhythms of Yemanjá. In this full day voyage of discovery participants will have the opportunity to enjoy music or dance sessions, learning several arrangements that will come together at the end of the day in celebration to pay homage to the goddess of the Oceans Yemanjá. Please note limited places are available for this workshop so book early.

Seby Ntege is a singer songwriter from the Busoga region of eastern Uganda, renowned for producing some of the best multi-instrumentalist in the country and himself is a master of several folk instruments from his country including akogo thumb piano (a.k.a. kalimba), endongo lyre, adungu harp, percussion and endingidi, a one stringed fiddle.
